MEET NELLE

Born and raised in the California Bay Area, Nelle has always been a nature child at heart—climbing trees, exploring outdoors, and connecting easily with both people and animals. With a curious mind and a love for creativity, she was drawn to understanding how things worked and expressed herself through art, movement, and braiding hair—eventually leading to her first career as a hairdresser.

Her relationship with healing began early, growing up alongside her mother Robin’s 50-year practice as a multi-disciplinary bodyworker and holistic nutrition educator. From a young age, she witnessed the impact of lifestyle, awareness, and intentional touch in supporting the body’s ability to heal.

Nelle’s path shifted when she began experiencing chronic pain while working as a hairdresser. An ankle injury from the past manifested into deeply rooted imbalances that began to show up more and more as the physical demands of her work increased. Through this process, she discovered she was living with hypermobility—where the body lacks the structural support it needs—leading to compensation, instability, and ongoing discomfort.

Rather than accepting pain as her reality, she followed a growing curiosity to understand what was happening beneath the surface.

That curiosity led her into the world of bodywork, where she spent years exploring different approaches and learning how the body adapts, compensates, and heals—ultimately reshaping not only how she felt in her body, but how she understood it.

Over time, her perspective expanded from seeing the body as separate parts to experiencing it as a deeply connected system. This understanding continues to shape how she moves through her own life and how she supports others in theirs.

Today, Nelle’s work is rooted not only in what she has learned, but in what she has lived. She is passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies, move with greater ease, and develop a deeper sense of trust within themselves.

When she’s not working, you can find Nelle playing piano (often music from The Legend of Zelda), napping with her cats, spending time with friends, watching anime (Spy x Family and Demon Slayer are favorites), or practicing calisthenics skills.
